It lasted less than two years

In March 2015, Holt Renfrew launched Holt Icon Privileges, its first customer loyalty program. With four categories of reward depending on your annual purchases, from under $10,000 per annum to over $50,000 per annum, there was a category for everyone. (Well for everyone with a big clothing budget.)

But Holt Renfrew recently announced that it was ending the program effective January 28, 2017.

"The decision was driven by customer feedback and Holt Renfrew's commitment to show our appreciation to you, our loyal customer, in a meaningful and relevant way."

While the launch of the program was companies by lot of press, its demise is rather quiet. Not really surprising, but I wonder what resulted in the program being kicked to the curb? Nordstrom is likely one contributory factor, but you'd probably never get anyone from Holt's to admit that.
