Bard on the Beach (
http://www.bardonthebeach.org/) is Vancouver's summer Shakespeare Festival.
The theatre, actually an elaborate tent city, is located close to the ocean, just at the entrance to False Creek. The area is not exactly flush with parking, and the parking enforcement officers in Vancouver are known for being very enthusiastic. So, if your patrons (customers) are going to be driving down to see the show, how much money do they need to put into the parking meter?
The organizers of
Bard on the Beach have given their patrons all of the information that they need. The starting time is on the ticket, and attached to the parking meter is a list of running times for each of the three plays in the 2012 season. I'd say that is a brilliant piece of preemptive information provision. I'd give the organizers full marks.
